Positive Case of COVID-19 Nov. 25

KFL&A Public Health has been notified that a student at Frontenac Secondary School tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 25, 2021. The school remains open.
Those identified as close contacts of the positive case have been given specific guidance in messages sent from KFL&A Public Health. Two class cohorts have been directed to isolate.
KFL&A Public Health works closely with schools to ensure that necessary steps are taken to prevent further spread of the virus both in the school and the community.
Families are encouraged to continue to monitor and screen students daily for symptoms of COVID-19 as most cases of COVID-19 are acquired in the home setting. Do not send students to school if they are sick or symptomatic.
Please continue to follow all public health guidelines which include maintaining physical distance, wearing face coverings, and cleaning your hands frequently.
Cases in schools must be reported locally and provincially. We are sharing this information with you to ensure you have accurate information. No further information will be released to maintain privacy.
