Hey Falcons!  Student Cards and SPC cards will be available to purchase starting Thursday, October 17.  Grade 9s you have a chance to pick yours up early on Tuesday, October 15 at lunch in the front foyer.  Student Cards cost $10 and with your student card purchase, an SPC card is only $5.  Having a student card provides photo identification, access to school events, discounts at local stores and much more!  Stop by the front foyer starting this Thursday pick up yours up.  

Homework Help!  You’re invited to come to Student Success after school to make up missed summatives OR get homework help!  Every Wednesday after school 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Please bring missed work or work you need help with.  See Ms. Boutilier in Student Success in the Learning Commons.

Would all SHSM students Arts & Culture and Health & Wellness please contact Ms. Kasper as soon as possible in Student Services.

Any SHSM Arts & Culutre students interested in a face painting workshop, please contact Ms. Kasper during period 3 and 4 in Student Services.  The workshop will be Period 3 and 4, Thursday, October 24 in room 151.

There will be a practice for all Mathletes today at lunch.

Reminder to Boys Volleyball players of their practices tonight after school.  Junior at 2:45 p.m. and Senior at 4:30 p.m.

The recreation band meets today at lunch.

The first caribou math contest will take place tomorrow or Thursday in room 114 at lunch.  Come either day to participate.  The contest is open to all grades and you do not have to be taking math this semester to participate.  Bring your lunch and a pencil.

Last night after battling traffic to get to LaSalle, the Jr. Girls’ Basketball Team defeated the Knights 52-32.  The coaches wish the team a Happy Thanksgiving?

There is a mandatory meeting today at lunch in Student Services for KASSAA Ultimate Players.  All must attend.

The Percussion ensemble meets today at lunch.

The Cross Country Team took home 5th place overall, out of 24 at the Turkey Trot.  Noah Booth won Midget Boys and took home a turkey!  The Midget Boys team won third place -- Noah, Angus, Nathaniel, Keiran, Owen and Hayden.  The Midget Girls placed eighth as a team – Rayden, Madelyn, Claire and Margeurito.  The Junior girls were the highest ranking KASSAA team taking third overall – Jill, Hannah, Abby and Jordyn.

The first Caribou Math Contest is happening next week!  This an online contest that is open to all grades.  You can participate at lunch in room 114 on either Wednesday or Thursday.  Bring your lunch and pencil.  Come, give it a try!  You do not have to be taking math this semester.

The Junior Boys’ Volleyball team took another win against LaSalle last night to improve their record to 5 and 1, with 3 games left to go.  Well done boys!

A huge congratulations to the Senior Boys’ Volleyball team who upset LaSalle last night, 3 sets to 1.  Strong passing from all players led to killer hits and the win.  Next up is Regi next Thursday.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls basketball team for their convincing win against LSS.  Enjoy your weekend off.  See you guys Tuesday at SLC.

Congratulations to both Boys Volleyball teams on their wins last night against Marie Rivier!  Strong serving from both teams contributed to the win.  Next up is LaSalle at home tomorrow.

Yesterday, 65+ Falcons competed with honour and excellent sportsmanship at the Ultimate Tournament.  The coaching staff thanks you for your efforts.  If you’re interested in competing at the KASSAA level for Ultimate, come to a meeting in Student Services at lunch!

Come out and support the Boys’ Volleyball Teams tonight at home as they take on Napanee.  Senior game starts at 3:45 p.m. and the Juniors at 5:15 p.m.

The Boys’ Volleyball Teams travelled to Sydenham last night where the Junior Boys Team’s consistent serving led them to a 3-0 victory.  The Senior boys then battled a very strong Sydenham Team, narrowly taking a set, but ultimately came up short.  Practices tonight go Junior at 2:45 p.m., both at 3:45 p.m., and Senior at 4:30 p.m.

The Recreation Band is cancelled tonight due to the Celebrating Success event.

The Competitive Band is reminded that warm-up is at 7:00 p.m.

There is a brief Tech meeting at the beginning of lunch.
