Raising Resilient Children presentation
Are we coddling our children too much? Why is it important to let kids fail?  How do we teach and model resiliency to  our children?   Share and find solutions to these questions from an expert in the field:  Robyne Hanley-Dafoe

FSS Parent Council and FSS are pleased to host the Raising Resilient Children presentation by Robyne Hanley-Dafoe, Professor of Psychology and Education in Trent University's Centre for Teaching and Learning.

Hanley-Dafoe's accomplishments include the 2016 TEDx Talk "Prediction and Resiliency:  Finding the Shared Experience", teacher of over 50 courses and the Centre's Education Developer.  Her TEDx Talk can be viewed at

Robyn will be sharing her experience regarding cultivating resiliency, enhancing well-being and fostering positive mental health in students and their families.  She will speak to the connection between resiliency and failure, and she will discuss strategies to help young people build their capacity to be resilient.

Robyn is the proud mother of three children:  Hunter (13), Ava (12) and Jaxson (9) who remind her daily of the importance of parenting as a role model.
