School Councils are important partners in education. School Councils provide a forum through which parents and other members of school communities can contribute to improving student achievement and well-being and enhance the accountability of the education system.
Our School Council focuses on information sharing and discussion, and sometimes, how to improve student opportunities through fundraising. At each meeting, school administration provides an update on school- related activities and council members may identify topics of interest for presentation/discussion at future meetings or extra special interest sessions.
Our primary emphasis is on the exchange of information and meaningful discussion. Each meeting features updates on school-related activities from the Student Council Chairs, teacher representative, and our Principal. Our gatherings serve as a platform to address current student concerns, but we also share valuable insights, resources, and information, aimed at assisting parents/guardians in supporting their children's success.
We encourage and warmly welcome the active participation of parents/guardians in our school council meetings. Becoming a part of the council is an exceptional means of staying well-informed about school affairs and discovering academic and extracurricular opportunities for your student. Your perspectives contribute significantly to the discussions that shape the initiatives and events designed to enhance the educational experience for all students. Please join us in fostering a collaborative community dedicated to the success and well-being of our students!
