The FSS Exam schedule can be found here. We encourage all families to read the schedule. If you note that your student has a conflict (two exams during the same time) please see Ms. Bonney Morris-Pocock or Mr McKenna to resolve the conflict. With the release of the exam schedule, the school year is officially picking up speed. With only 15 instructional days left before grade 12 exams, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting much brighter. The band trip to Canada's Wonderland was a tremendous success and the focus for the arts will shift to the final concert and year end arts banquet. Our athletes continue to impress in the spring season as well. Track athletes are posting personal best times and distances, the rugby teams steadily improved all season, soccer and ultimate narrowly missed out on advancing for city and provincial championships and baseball is currently undefeated in KASSAA play. At grade forums last week, the central themes of kindness and respect for the community were emphasized as well as to finish the school year strong. We can do this Falcons!

FSS Rocks Olympiad

A huge thank you to Student Council for organizing a successful Olympiad event! This annual event is one of the best days at Frontenac and is a reflection of the effort and enthusiasm of the student leaders at FSS. The Olympiad event celebrates the success of our clubs, bands and teams and epitomizes what it means to be a Falcon. With a school wide pep rally in the morning, a Dominos Pizza sponsored lunch and fun games and events in the afternoon, FSS School Spirit was on full display. Events organized in the afternoon included: therapy dogs, cornhole, face painting, slip and slides, bouncy castles, obstacle courses, basketball, tug of war, and the Jurassic Classic offered something for everyone to enjoy and participate in.

School to Community Soccer Baseball Event

We hosted six school to community programs from across the city on Wednesday in one of our favourite events of the year, Soccer Baseball! This inclusive, fun, high energy, low competition day was the highlight of our week. We shared lots of laughs, home runs, and time with friends.  Thank you to our PAL Phys Ed class and all the volunteers for making this day so special.

Rugby Champions

Our Varsity Girls Rugby team are KASSAA Champions! The girls showed tremendous grit and defensive tenacity against a KSS team that possessed the ball for the majority of the game. However, when FSS did get the ball, their speed and skill was on full display. FSS speed and skill was on full display in the opening seconds of the match as Jenna Martin scored a try that saw her kick the ball twice and outrun the Bears defence to score a sensational opening try. With the game tied at 12 with a few minutes left, Delaney Brule followed up on a brilliant run from Olivia Kyte to score the go ahead try. Best of luck to the girls who travel to Lindsay for OFSAA June 4-6. Well done Falcons!
